The Medical Faculty of the University of Rijeka offers a popular medical degree program taught in English. Rijeka, also known as the European Capital of Culture in 2020, provides a unique opportunity for individuals with a high school diploma to pursue studies in medicine and dentistry without being solely focused on their final average grade.

Founded in 1955, the Medical Faculty of the University of Rijeka has evolved over the last six decades to become one of the most prestigious medical schools. Many of the former students are now recognized experts abroad who work in prestigious hospitals and research centers throughout Europe and the US

Admission requirements include successfully passing an admission test and completing a motivation-based interview via Skype—MediStart provides you with optimal preparation for this. Additionally, to verify your level of English, all you will need are average to good English grades at school or a TOEFL certificate.

The University of Rijeka is among the universities that recognize the MediTest-EU as equivalent to their own admission test. This test consists of a written section with questions on biology, chemistry, and general knowledge (60%) and an interview on your motivation and skills (40%).
