In November 2015, the university inaugurated a new experimental medicine wing featuring state-of-the-art equipment, including a TWINSHIME simulator—one of only five in the world.

Emphasizing practice-oriented education from the outset, Košice University prioritizes hands-on learning experiences. The institution’s international appeal is evident, with a diverse student body representing over 40 nations, including Germany, Austria, and Scandinavian countries.

You can apply for a place in Košice without minimum admission qualifications or long waiting lists. You need to have finished high school and you must pass the university admission exam, a multiple-choice scientific test. MediStart prepares you optimally for the exam in a multi-day preparation course. The course is offered exclusively to our young students at MediStart. In addition, the university requires a sufficient knowledge of English, which is demonstrated by average or good school grades or an approved TOEFL or IELTS exam.
