Studying in Prague

Capital and Cultural Gem of the Czech Republic: Prague. The bustling capital of the Czech Republic, boasts a population of 1.2 million, making it the largest city in the country. Iconic landmarks like the Charles Bridge, spanning the picturesque Danube, draw visitors from around the globe. Steeped in history, the bridge was once part of the coronation route for Bohemian kings, adding to its allure.

Beyond its historic bridges and landmarks, Prague is a treasure trove of cultural richness, with the entire old town designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The city’s moderate cost of living compared to other metropolitan areas enhances its appeal, making it an ideal destination for residents and students alike.

Prague fosters a vibrant community for international students of Medicine through organizations like AIMS (Active International Medical Students). This sense of camaraderie is further bolstered by numerous events, including balls, dinner parties, and an annual book sale tailored to new students, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Requirements and Application

You can obtain a university place without a sole focus on your final high school grades; all you will need is a qualification allowing you to study at a university, such as a high school diploma. Admission takes place via the university’s own entrance test and a motivational interview. MediStart prepares you optimally for both. The test requires very good knowledge of biology, physics and chemistry. MediStart also ensures optimal preparation with its own preparation course. However, the entrance test is demanding. Therefore, you should have taken at least two of these three natural sciences consistently in high school and completed them with very good grades. Medi-Start accompanies you throughout the entire application process, optimizes your documents and takes care of all steps of the application process.
