Costs

MediStart universities in Central, Eastern and Southern European countries, as well as the private medical campus in Hamburg, are generally self-funded. The degrees, taught in English, in medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine are thus based on tuition fees.

In the figure on the right, you will find an overview of places you can study and the respective tuition fees per semester. The tuition fees only need to be paid if you accept the place at the university, often as a yearly fee covering two semesters. Currency fluctuations and adjustments are possible.

Forms of government loans generally do not cover the costs, meaning most applicants pay the costs of the degree themselves or with help from their families. This makes economic sense—rather than waiting for six or seven years for a place at a university, as you might in Germany, you can fast-track your studies and already be earning money as a doctor, dentist or veterinary doctor within this period. In European countries, doctors are in high demand, so you could earn back your investment in a medical degree abroad after only a single year of working life.

For our services, we charge a success fee, which only becomes payable once you actually receive an offer from a university. This helps our clients plan the start of their degrees efficiently.

The success fee amounts to one year’s tuition fee (plus legal VAT). MediStart does not accept commission or payments from foreign universities and third parties, as we exclusively represent the interests of our applicants.

Applications, admission procedures and the organisation of admission tests in Germany (or online for some universities) may result in an additional one-off fee to the amount of EUR 650.

MediStart’s principle is simple, reliable and successful. We successfully guide you through the application process, so that you do not have to worry about anything. You could also be perfectly prepared with our pre-med courses (2 days to 3 weeks) taught by doctors and university professors, which are organised by MediStart or foreign universities and held in Germany or online.

Just fill in the MediStart contract form and send it back to us—your personal MediStart consultant will contact as soon as possible.

“Seize the opportunity to be granted a place at a university thanks to MediStart, your fast lane to study medicine. German lawyers contributed to the development of MediStart’s business concept”. D. Naumann zu Grünberg, Attorney-at-Law
